Big Honkin Bird Feeders
Back To Nature: 29" x 14" Roof - 6919a
Oak, White - Brutally strong, handsome (yes, in a manly way) and plentiful. WO is also one of our country's premier ground contact lumbers. Although not used any longer, a WO fencepost will last decades.
Poplar - Poplar is EVERYWHERE in West Virginia and one of our country's most important hardwoods. Poplar is light in weight with a color range consisting of near white to dark purple. It is a wonderful lumber.
Spalted Maple - Spalted Maple is amazingly gorgeous. Spalting is produced due to a fungus growing through the annular rings of the tree after it dies. Spalting comes in various degrees, all beautiful.
Black Walnut - BW is gorgeous, dark and having pronounced grain patterns. Unbeknownst to many, BW has outstanding above ground, outdoor longevity. We use it anytime we can for its striking appearance.
Black Willow - Unlike its visual brethren, Black Walnut, Black Willow will fool all but the best lumbermen.
It is physically lighter in weight with amazingly beautiful details and extremely rare, even for us.
Black Cherry - Cherry is a lumber in a class all its own. Often reserved for furniture, cabinetry, etc..., cherry crafts an amazing feeder. Not the longest lasting outdoor lumber but there is no equal in its beauty. ENJOY!
