15th Anniversary Mourning Dove Feeding Station
Crazy Pop #2 w/ Offset Hopper/Roof
Spalted Poplar - Crafted using spalted poplar for the feeder's roof, baseplate, seed tray and both pole mounts makes for a gorgeous feeder. In comparison to CrazyPop1, this feeder's lumber is of a higher quality but lacks the crazy beauty CP1 has. This feeder will easily outlast CP1.
Basswood - Basswood has been used for the railings around the feeder.
Black Locust - The vertical uprights of the feeder's hopper have been crafted from Locust.
For some fun, I have offset the hopper one inch to provide more room for larger birds on the very
end of the feeder's baseplate while tightening up the other end. The idea is to give the little guys a place
all their own while also giving room for LARGE birds to land. Further to this, I then offset the roof
another inch to give a huge hole for the large birds to land. In my mind, I was thinking
about Mourning Doves and other cumbersome birds.
